Meet Cindy Hackmann

It’s true, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Once you get to know Cindy Hackmann, that old adage takes on a deeper meaning. Growing up with a father who was a farmer and a mother who was a teacher, Cindy found herself absorbing everything she could about agriculture her entire life. Today, she has secured her reputation in agriculture as a thoughtful, smart and strategic communicator; and consistently brings creative storytelling to challenges and opportunities.

Cindy epitomizes CLUTCH’s “both sides of the table” perspective, as she has worked at several leading agencies throughout her career and led associations, like DCHA and USFRA, that are making a positive impact in agriculture. Ask her, and she’ll say her biggest accomplishment was also the biggest challenge – bringing together dozens of organizations in agriculture to lead a coordinated effort to increase consumer trust in farming and ranching. Her drive to help farmers succeed runs deep, and she brings that passion to her clients every day.

Although she began her career on the account service side, Cindy quickly found her niche in public relations, relying on her writing skills to connect clients with those in the media. As she expanded her PR skills, her natural ability to weave an engaging and relevant story, and connect companies to meaningful causes, made reputation management a natural fit. Today, she serves as Director of Content + Reputation at CLUTCH, putting her two decades of marketing experience to work for clients.

An ag lover through and through, Cindy and her husband run their family farm in Missouri, where they raise five kids (four boys and a girl). She also raises a flock of chickens and loves to garden and cook – all of which come in handy when trying to feed her army of next generation farmers.
